As a kid, I spent a lot of time in libraries. They’re still among my favorite places in the world, though now the appeal of air conditioning, free wi-fi, and public restrooms have become as much a part of the appreciation as the love of reading they support. Of course, these days, there’s another kind of library that is close to my heart, one with a lot more dust and mold in it. Here’s a view into a small but spectacular one in Burgundy. Alas, it’s been so long I don’t remember which producer this was, but looking at the sites represented it might be Louis Latour, Bouchard Pere et Fils, or Domaine Drouhin. I think the only other producer that makes wine from all these locations is Domaine Leroy, but I haven’t been there.
