Hereunder you will find a survey of EVERY village in “la” Champagne. If you have a bottle of which the origin is not mentioned in this list, there is a good chance that it is not Champagne. The average quality of the grapes (cru) and the number of Champagne producers is indicated per village. If a village is mentioned more then once the quality per type of grapes (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, or Pinot Meunier) will differ.
