According to the latest Wine Searcher ranking, these are the 10 priciest Champagnes money can buy in 2023. Despite the launch of various celebrity endorsed, diamond-encrusted cuvées over the past few years, the usual suspects still account for the majority of the ten most expensive champagnes in 2023. In fact, six of the top ten placed wines come from the LVMH stable of brands, which should keep Bernard Arnault happy. According to the latest Wine Searcher ranking, updating their 2020 version, the latest rankings are headed by Dom Pérignon P3 Plénitude Brut Rosé, which scores a fairly impressive 94 points and boasts a price of US$5,377 (£4,338.70). Back in 2020, the same wine only reached fifth place, scoring four fewer points (90) and priced at the time at a considerably lower level of US$2,351 (£1,897.02). In second place comes Dom Pérignon’s white P3 stablemate P3 Plénitude Brut, which sells for a barely lower price of US$5,149 (£4,154.73) but boasts a higher rating of 96 points. Three years ago this same wine was ranked fourth in the list of the most expensive Champagnes with a score of 95, while the price was also considerably lower at US$2,610 (£2,106.01). The first non-LVMH brand to put in an appearance comes from Louis Roederer, with Cristal “Gold Medalion” Orfevres Limited Edition Brut Millesimé; its golden bottle designed by Philippe Di Méo.
