Tucked away in the heart of Hemphill, Texas lies a hidden gem – Tebo Creek Winery. But what makes this winery truly unique is its location – nestled within Hammock Furniture Store! That’s correct, wine and furniture come together in perfect harmony at Tebo Creek Winery.
My wife and I were planning a trip to Deep East Texas to visit Pineywoods Vineyard and found on the Texas Wine Lover app that there was another winery in Hemphill, so we added it to our agenda. We arrived at Hammock Furniture and were greeted by Dawn Procell and Henry Alvarado, co-owners of Tebo Creek Winery. Dawn quickly informed us that Tebo Creek Winery co-owners Monica and Kirk Butler, who are the owners of Hammock Furniture, were not available on this day for our visit. We were invited to the back corner of the store which was remodeled into a very comfortable tasting room. Dawn said that originally, they were looking for downtown property but had this space available in the store and chose to locate there instead.
