The Amadio family established Chain Of Ponds in the Adelaide Hills; these days they produce wine under the Amadio label. This cabernet won a gold medal and trophy for the best cabernet sauvignon at the 2024 AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge.
Deep red-purple colour; cedar cigarbox and cassis aromas, only lightly leafy. Very intense and elegant on the palate, with fine grained tannins and tremendous length of flavour. A superbly elegant, stylish, modern cabernet of concentrated, essence-of-cabernet fruit flavour, subtle oak and balanced tannins. (Cork)
