Rimapere Baron Edmond de Rothschild Sauvignon Blanc 2024, Marlborough, NZD $30

The 2024 Marlborough sauvignons are getting good attention and the enthusiasm seems to be justified. This is from the Rothschild’s Marlborough property (which was initially started as a joint venture with Craggy Range) and is not the sister estate to Akarua in Central Otago. One of the most compelling vintages yet from this vineyard.

Vibrant aromatic apple and citrus fruit with a layer of perfumed elderflower. Lifted and lively with just a hint of green apple herbaceousness on the neat, off-dry finish. (Screwcap)
