Opaque, saturated purple colour that stains the glass; intense and bright young primary aromas abound—licorice, blackberry and graphite backed by fine tannins and a trace of bitterness. This is a concentrated, young and vibrant but nascent wine that might have benefited from more maturation time, but certainly has potential and the structure is such that it’s already approachable.
