Have you ever wanted to enjoy wine at a picnic or remote site from real glassware but were unsure how to transport breakable stems or stemless glasses? Copain de Vin offers an option that looks like it can deliver a stemless crystal glass without breakage. This simple option consists of a metal shell padded with soft rubbery insulation that holds a beautifully shaped crystal stemless glass.
This VinVoyage wine glass assembly was delivered to me in a sturdy cardboard shipping box with another decorative cardboard box inside that was padded with foam insulation. Inside the second box was the metal container and wine glass. The metal container has a base and a top that fit securely together to seal the wine glass inside. It looked very sturdy. In fact, when I ran an experiment by dropping the assembly from about four feet in the air onto a concrete surface, the wine glass was unharmed and there was no visible dent or scrape on the outside metal surface. Impressive!
I often enjoy wine in stemless glasses and carry a carton of 6-12 of them in my vehicle just about everywhere. One never knows
