, Quick Review: Township 7 Provenance Series Pinot Gris and 7 Blanc 2022PR SAMPLE 

Here are my last two white aromatic BC wines for a while.  The clouds and rain have convinced me that the upcoming wines that I will taste should be red.  The two white wines I have for you are the Township 7 Provenance Series 7 Blanc 2022 and Provenance Series Pinot Gris 2022.  Both wines have grapes coming from the Naramata Bench, plus some from the south Okanagan (for the 7 Blanc). Let me tell you about these two wines.

My Wine Tasting Notes Township 7 Provenance Series 7 Blanc 2022 (BC $24.97)

From the winery, “Our crowd-pleasing white blend, the Provenance Series 2022 7 Blanc is made with handpicked grapes from our Naramata Bench estate and longtime growers in the south Okanagan. The blend is predominantly Riesling followed by Viognier, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, and Chardonnay to create a beautifully balanced and scented wine. The varietals were cool fermented separately at 13°C over the course of approximately 21 days…Just under 500 cases made, available at both wineries and online.”

Appearance: A bright, clear, medium lemon colour.
Nose: Medium-minus intensity aromas definitely show Gewurztraminer grape scents of roses and spearmint.  I also get tropical fruit aromas. The aromas get a little stronger with decanting.
Palate: This wine is off-dry, smooth and round with a thicker mouthfeel.  You also get a light acidic prickle on your tongue.  Light stone fruit and lime flavours to start but then you get roses and spearmint with swirling.  No change to the wine flavours and body with
