We had only one main objective: to find vineyards no less than 100 years old from the best terroir in Mendoza and make this incredible blend.

Well this certainly sounds promising! We’re huge fans of old vines, and while the “old” part of that equation is often left unspecified, today we have some truly old vines with the whole marketing of this wine based on the fact they are at least 100 years old. Let’s check it out.

The 2019 Pledge 100 Malbec from Mendoza Vineyards opens with aromas of ripe dark berry, lots of varied spice notes and vanilla. It’s certainly nice but also a bit more straightforward than I was expecting though given these old vineyards.
