Sherrah Nero d’Avola 2022, McLaren Vale, AUD $30

Made with fruit picked on two separate occasions, the first pick for acidity and the second pick for ripe fruit character.

Medium ruby red with purple glinting at the rim. Raspberry, red pastilles and lavender bush aromas. Juicy and fresh with a bright red fruited core bound by both freshening acidity and supple tannins. As it sits on the palate and flows quite long, a subtle bitter herbal character adds character and complexity. (Screwcap)
