UK discounter Lidl is offered a ‘fizzy rosé’ brand deal to Traitor’s runner up, Diane Carson, who proved a firm fan favourite. (SPOILER ALERT!) Proving the retailer has its finger on the pulse, the retailers posted a suggestion on X (formally known as Twitter) calling on Diane to join them on an “ultimate collab”, after Diane was ousted from the gripping TV show by drinking from a ‘poison chalice’ of pink fizz by rival ‘traitor’ Miles. The TV shows averaged almost six million viewers per episode, according to viewing figures. The retailer has used the occasion to drop the price of its Prosecco Spumante Rosé from £5.99 to £4.99 for its Lidl Plus customers, for two weeks in February, until Valentine’s Day.
