The 2020 Juggernaut Russian River Valley Pinot Noir opens with a pleasing aroma of dark berry fruit, cedar, a little tobacco and cigar box plus some oaky spice and vanilla.
Tasting the wine reveals a very smooth, soft and easy to drink mass-market Pinot Noir featuring dark fruit, oaky spice, a bit of earthiness underneath and touches of chocolate and vanilla. Like the Juggernaut Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon we previously reviewed, this is pretty good for a supermarket wine. It’s definitely not high end Pinot Noir but it does remind me a bit of Meiomi before the residual sugar started shooting up several
