We love Rhone style wines and today we have the return of a fantastic example at an amazing price!
This Dry Creek Valley blend is comprised of Rhone varietals including 50% Carignane from both the Bradford Mountain Estate Vineyard (34%) and the Forchini Vineyard (16%) and 25% Syrah from the Bradford Mountain Estate Vineyard plus 25% Petite Sirah from the Bernier Vineyard.
The wine was aged 25 months in 33% new French oak barrels, 17% new American oak barrels and 50% older, neutral barrels. Bottled (unfined and unfiltered) in December of 2022 and just released in March, with only 150 cases produced it certainly won’t last long!
We love the wines of Peterson Winery (as do many of you based on the success of our past deals) but today we have a very special one that tips its hat to the best of the Rhone. And in that regard, we especially love the fact that this iteration has upped the amount of that wonderful Carignane!
