The top cabernet brands in Margaret River are quite expensive these days but many wineries’ second or third tier cabernets are still terrific value. This is one.
Deep and very bright purple colour; shy, reserved nose, leading into a full-bodied wine with lavish tannins and firm structure, but the tannins are ripe and rounded, not bitter or green. Working the wine in the glass brings forth clean ripe cassis aromas, the fruit doing most of the talking. (Screwcap)
