Te Kairanga WPF Pinot Noir 2020, Martinborough, NZD $175

WPF honours the owner of Te Kairanga, William (Bill) Patrick Foley, who owns wineries in California, Oregon, Washington and New Zealand.

This is the first release of a new flagship label and it’s a vibrant, high-energy wine with floral/violet, rhubarb, cherry, cassis and mixed spice flavours. Impressive density and subtle power. It’s good now but should develop well with bottle age. (Screwcap)
