Dönnhoff Niederhausen Hermannshöhle GG Riesling 2023, Germany
A stunning vineyard Hermannshöhle is the jewel of the crown in Niederhausen; it is a perfectly situated curving hillside of black-grey weathered slate on igneous extrusions, stony limestone and porphyry. These wines are very long-lived and its reputation as a dry wine has risen to meet its historic pedigree for classic fruit-sweet wines.
Fresh and complex, lovely crystalline floral, sweet herb and citrus with mouth-filling concentration across the taut, detailed, compact palate. Powerful and driven with long, pure fruit character. Layered, coiled energy with a lot of developmental potential. (Cork)
