, Appetising sparkler

Boat O’Craigo Méthode Traditionnelle Brut 2022, Yarra Valley, AUD $50

The Graham family’s winery has vineyards at Healesville and Kangaroo Ground in the Yarra Valley. Winemaker is the accomplished Rob Hall.

This youthful blend of chardonnay and pinot noir has a pale colour and a good mousse of very fine bubbles. There are fresh, youthful aromas of almond icing and iced pastries. The wine has good intensity of flavour and is clean and refreshing on the tongue, with a trace of sweetness but finishing crisply dry and appetising. A youthful sparkler with a great deal of appeal.
