Symphony Hill Albariño 2023, Granite Belt, AUD $65

Established just over two decades ago in the Granite Belt, Symphony Hill is one of the drivers of high-quality wines in this high-altitude region.

The high altitude captures the freshness and vivacity of this native Iberian peninsula variety admirably and delivers a wine of texture and sophistication.

Aromas of citrus rind, white flowers, nettle and stone fruit. The palate has a softness and roundness to it, along with texture and mouth-feel. Flavours of just-ripe stone fruit, nougat and salty brine are all at play. Smart length. Quite more-ish. (Screwcap)
