Rochford Isabella’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, Yarra Valley, AUD $80
Isabella is the young daughter of the owner Helmut Konecsny, evidently a budding downhill ski champ.
Rich, ripe dark-fruit and chocolate aromas. A hint of smoky reduction early on, and the wine is quite chewy on the palate with solid tannins that help drive the finish long. It has concentration, power and ageworthiness. Ideally it should be cellared for several years. (Screwcap)
