Instructions Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine butter and brown sugar in an electric mixer fitted with a paddle attachment and combine until smooth. Add in eggs and vanilla, and mix until everything is combined. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt, and whisk together. With the mixer on low, slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet in small increments. Mix until dry is completely incorporated. Scoop 2 tbsp.
