We love a good GSM blend and we also love Paso Robles, so this is certainly starting out promising. Add in the intrigue of a little Counoise and Cinsault into the blend and we were excited to check it out. Let’s see if it holds up to the promise.

The 2022 Trader Joe’s Platinum Reserve GSM+ Lot 119 opens with a pleasing, harmonious aroma of strawberry, dark berry fruit and a little spice plus touches of vanilla, licorice, cedar and chocolate as well.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be smooth with great depth and similar flavors to the nose plus more spice when tasting. Balanced, structured and very savory, this is rather beautiful. It’s a lovely rendition of a GSM blend especially at this low price.
It ends dry, a bit juicy and very, very long and was just as good on day 2.
