Reviewing the highly refreshing and highly recommended H3 Horse Heaven Hills Sauvignon Blanc from Washington State.
100% Sauvignon Blanc from Horse Heaven Hills in the Columbia Valley of Washington State. While most of the wine was fermented and briefly aged in stainless steel tanks, 12% of the wine was fermented and aged one month in oak to add to the mouthfeel.
Sample submitted for review. H3 used to be part of the Columbia Crest label but now is a stand-alone brand. Both brands come from the Ste. Michelle family of wines. This wine has an SRP of $15 and is available widely for as low as $11.

H3 is inspired by the wild horses that used to roam the Horse Heaven Hills. Each wine is carefully cultivated to bring out the complex flavors of this rugged landscape.
Citrus aromas followed by a layer of minerality and pear flavors that give way to a crisp, clean finish.

The 2020 H3 Horse Heaven Hills Sauvignon Blanc opens with a very pleasing aroma of grapefruit, peach and pear with a touch of a grassy, dried herbal note and sea salt.
Tasting the wine reveals a wonderful smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel with just the right amount of acidity and some salty minerality under the peach, citrus and green apple fruit. This is very easy
